2019 Advocacy Training

With Ms. Chanel Haley, we discussed the transgender community defining what it means to be transgender. There was a statistical presentation that had shown that 74% of Georgians support state protections of LGBTQ people from discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations. Roughly 52-56% of Georgians also strongly support 78% of voters under the age of 36. Issues pertaining to HIV in 2019 include :

1)HIV Criminalization Reform and Syringe Access

2) PrEP access for minors & rural communities

3) opt-out HIV testing

4)Maternal HIV transmission

5) Improved formulary access in Medicaid.

24th Annual Positive living Conference 2022

Oasis Florida Positive Living Conference September 2022 had another event conference every year and it gets bigger and bigger every year with great workshops like HIV criminalization and ending the U.S. HIV epidemic and positive Trans Experience with Mental health/Domestic Violence.

Stacy Abrams Townhall Event 22

On August 30, 2022 Stacy Abrams had an event in downtown Atlanta restaurant to gather support to the LGBTQ/Black community for the run for mayor for Geogia November of 2022. They also had a wonderful performance from a lovely duo who stumped the ground and slayed their song and Ms. Park Cannon Awarded honorees champions in metro Atlanta.

On August 19, 2022 Atlanta Downtown hotel all organizations in the south came together discuss HIV stigma and correlation of black MSM & Trans communities as well as specific information and resources about PrEp, PEP, HRT.

Trans/Gay Pride Atlanta 2022

October 2022 ATL had a wonderful pride parades the first day was an Trans pride and the next day they had Gay pride parade altogether it was an empowering experience because decades ago it was just a thought.
